Dr. Dexin Wang is a dedicated researcher in the field of bioactive and biochemical materials, holding a PhD in Bioactive Materials from Jeonbuk National University, a Master’s degree in Biochemical Engineering from Yanshan University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Engineering from Jilin Institute of Chemical Technology. He is currently an Assistant Researcher at the Green Chemical Research Centre, Shanghai Advanced Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences, following his postdoctoral work at the Tianjin Institute of Industrial Biotechnology. His research experience spans metabolic pathway analysis, microbial fermentation systems, metabolic engineering, and synthetic biology, including major contributions such as constructing microbial strains for optimized glucose oxidation pathways, developing high-efficiency microbial production of 1,3-propanediol, engineering recombinant E. coli for industrial levan production, advancing γ-PGA biosynthesis through strain improvement and fermentation optimization, and leading the microbial synthesis of high-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid through pathway construction, by-product reduction, multi-enzyme assembly, and membrane-level mechanism analysis. He has participated in multiple national and regional scientific projects and served as the principal investigator for synthetic-biology-based high-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid production. His research interests include metabolite synthesis, recombinant protein expression, microbial cell factory construction, fermentation process optimization, microbial gene editing, and nucleic acid preservation. Dr. Wang is proficient in molecular biology, protein engineering, CRISPR/Cas-based genetic editing, and advanced fermentation techniques, and is skilled in bioinformatics and scientific data analysis, supported by strong English proficiency and excellent collaboration and communication abilities.
