He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Agronomy with a specialization in Phytopathology and Crop Protection at Eduardo Mondlane University in Mozambique, starting from 2024. Prior to this, he completed a Master of Specialization in Integrated Production and Preservation of Natural Resources in Urban and Peri-urban Environments with Distinction at Gembloux Agro-BioTech/University of Liege, Belgium, in 2022. He holds a Diploma in Agricultural Engineering (BAC+5) with Distinction from Université Évangélique en Afrique/UEA-Bukavu, where he was recognized as the Best Laureate of the Faculty of Agronomic Sciences and Environment, Department of Plant Production, in 2017. Earlier, he graduated with honors in General Agronomy (BAC+3) from the same institution in 2015, also earning the distinction of Best Laureate of the Faculty of Agronomic Sciences and Environment. Since 2017, he has served as a Teaching and Research Assistant at the Institut Supérieur de Développement Rural (ISDR-Bukavu), balancing his responsibilities in academia and practical research. His consultancy work includes contributing to the elaboration of the Provincial Agricultural Investment Plan (PPIA) as a Consultant at IFPRI in March 2023 and participating in a strategy validation workshop for the “Ruzizi River Basin Landscape Restoration and Water Resources Management for Climate Change Resilient Development Programme” organized by the World Resources Institute (WRI) in September 2022. He conducted significant banana research at the Laboratory of Urban and Integrated Plant Pathology/Gembloux Agro-BioTech in 2022, evaluating biological control agents against Fusarium f.sp. oxysporum cubense in banana. His involvement in training and survey implementation using the World Bank’s “SURVEY SOLUTION” platform in South Kivu in August 2021 showcases his proficiency in quantitative and qualitative data collection. Bojana Petrovic – Precision Agriculture – Best Researcher Award

Assoc Prof Dr. Bojana Petrovic  distinguished academic and researcher in the field Precision Agriculture. She has held positions at various institutions, contributing significantly to the field of precision agriculture. At the Faculty of Agriculture and Technology, University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice, she served as an Assistant Professor from March 18, 2021, onwards. In this role, she engaged in precision agriculture research using the Python programming language, authored scientific papers, and conducted data analysis using Excel, statistics, and the R program. Additionally, she collaborated with international students, participated in livestock production projects, and delivered lectures to international student cohorts.

Prior to her appointment as Assistant Professor, she worked as a Researcher at the same institution from October 1, 2021, to March 18, 2022. Here, she continued her research in precision agriculture, focusing on Python programming and scientific paper writing, while also supporting international student activities and participating in relevant projects.

Previously, she held the position of Senior Process Engineer at Infosys, located in Brno-střed, from February 1, 2020, to September 31, 2021. In this capacity, she specialized in ServiceNow and ITSM customer service, demonstrating her versatility and expertise in the field of information technology.

She completed her Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree at the Faculty of Horticulture at Mendel University in Brno, Czech Republic, in 2020. Prior to her doctoral studies, she attained a Master’s degree in Organic Agriculture from the Faculty of Agriculture in Novi Sad, Serbia, graduating in 2015. She began her academic journey with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture from the same institution, completing her undergraduate studies in 2012. Obed Asamoah – Forest resources management – Excellence in Research

Mr. Obed Asamoah  distinguished academic and researcher in the field of Forest resources management. With over nine years of professional experience as a forestry researcher, he brings a wealth of knowledge and added value to the industry with expertise in several disciplines, including silvicultural adaptation treatment, climate change and harvesting, forestry bioresources management, business strategy, and financial planning. He has also developed techniques in the operation of LiDAR and Geode in harvesting. His current work is focused on evaluating the response at the tree and stand scale to the application of adaptive silviculture treatments to red maple stands in southern Quebec. He has developed this expertise through years of experience in the field, pursuing higher education, and leading collaborative research projects between industry, government, equipment manufacturers, and other stakeholders across three continents.

Eduvation

He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Forest Ecology at the Universite du Quebec en Outaouais/ISFORT in Ripon, Canada, a program that commenced in October 2021. Prior to this, he was engaged in another Ph.D. program in Bioresources and Forest Science at the University of Eastern Finland since 2018. His academic journey includes a Master of Science in International Development Studies from Mendel University in Brno, Czech Republic, completed between 2015 and 2017.
