Dr. Kuldeep Sarma  distinguished academic and researcher in the field Algebraic graph theory. Throughout his academic journey, he has achieved remarkable milestones and garnered prestigious accolades. Notably, he was selected for the NBHM postdoctoral fellowship by the Department of Atomic Energy, India, in 2023, a testament to his scholarly contributions and expertise. His academic excellence was evident early on, as he qualified in the NBHM written examination for scholarships in both M.Sc. and Ph.D. in 2014 and 2015 respectively. Additionally, his proficiency in research was acknowledged when he qualified in the CSIR-UGC NET (JRF & LS) with an impressive All India Rank of 077, earning him the CSIR Junior Research Fellowship in 2016. Furthermore, he demonstrated his prowess in mathematics by qualifying in the GATE examination with an All India Rank of 174 in 2015. His dedication to academic pursuits was also recognized through his achievement of second position in the SET (State Eligibility Test) in 2014. Moreover, his passion for basic sciences was supported by his receipt of the INSPIRE Scholarship by the Department of Science and Technology (DST) in 2010, paving the way for his future academic endeavors

He pursued his academic journey with a strong focus on mathematics, beginning with his Secondary School Certificate from Govt. Gurdon H.S. School, Nalbari, Assam, in 2007, where he attained an impressive percentage of 82.83. Building upon this foundation, he completed his Higher Secondary Certificate in the Science Stream at Cotton College (University), Guwahati, India, from 2007 to 2009, achieving a commendable percentage of 73.6. His passion for mathematics led him to pursue an Integrated MSc in Mathematics at Tezpur University, Tezpur, India, from 2010 to 2015, where he graduated with First Class honors and a CGPA of 7.68 out of 10. Continuing his academic journey, he pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree at Tezpur University, Assam, India, from 2016 to 2021. He successfully defended his thesis titled “A Study On Algebraic Connectivity and Inverses of Graphs” on 10th March 2022, demonstrating his expertise and dedication to the field of mathematics.

Teaching Experience

He has actively contributed to the academic community through both teaching and presenting research papers at conferences and seminars. From November 2022 to March 2023, he taught Mathematics I (MS104), followed by Mathematics II (MS105) from March to June 2023, and Mathematics III (MS205) from August to December 2023. His commitment to education continued as he taught Mathematics I (MS104) again from January to June 2024. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, he showcased his research findings through paper presentations at prestigious conferences. Notably, he presented a paper on “Minimizing algebraic connectivity over graphs made with some given blocks” at the International Conference on Analysis, Algebra, Combinatorics, and their applications, held at Jadavpur University from 20-22 January 2020. Furthermore, he presented another paper titled “Inverses of non-bipartite unicyclic graphs with a unique perfect matching” at the International Conference on Linear Algebra and its Applications (ICLAA 2021), hosted at MAHE, Manipal, India, from 15-17 December 2021. Through his teaching and research endeavors, he has made significant contributions to the fields of mathematics and academia as a whole.
