Dr. Habtamu Ayalew Engida is an accomplished mathematician specializing in Computational and Applied Mathematics, holding a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the Pan African University, Institute for Basic Sciences, Technology and Innovation (PAUSTI), Nairobi, Kenya, where he successfully defended his thesis on “Evolution and Co-Dynamics of Melioidosis and Leptospirosis Diseases with Optimal Control and Cost-Effectiveness Analysis” in March 2023. He earned his MSc in Mathematics (Applied Stream) with Very Great Distinction from Mekelle University in 2013 and his BSc in Applied Mathematics, also with Very Great Distinction, from the University of Gondar in 2011. Since July 2013, Dr. Habtamu has served as a Lecturer, Seminar Project Advisor, and Community Service Provider in the Department of Applied Mathematics at Debre Markos University, Ethiopia, contributing over a decade of expertise in teaching, academic advising, and professional consultation to both regular and extension students across public and private institutions.
