Assoc prof Dr. Aziz Ilhan distinguished academic and researcher in the field Mathematics. Several master’s theses are currently in progress under the supervision of Aziz İlhan at İnönü University’s Institute of Educational Sciences, Department of Mathematics Education. These include research by Tuğba Akürek, Eda Nur Yılmaz, Mahsum Akkurt, and Dilek Yaman Kılıç, all focusing on various aspects of mathematics education. Additionally, Aziz İlhan has been involved in several projects, both nationally and internationally. He has served as an instructor for “Benim Aklım Matematiği Keser” and as a researcher in projects such as “Muhteşem Üçlü: Doğa, Geometri ve Öğretim” and “21. The individual holds a Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in Mathematics Education from İnonu University, obtained on April 24, 2019. The thesis title was “Investigation of the Relationship between Visual Mathematics Literacy Perception Levels of Primary School Mathematics Teacher Candidates and Reasoning Skills and Performance Levels in Geometry.” The thesis advisor was Recep Aslaner.

They also possess a Master’s degree in Elementary Mathematics Education from Fırat University, earned on May 21, 2015. The thesis was titled “Development of the Visual Mathematics Literacy Scale for Primary School Mathematics Teacher Candidates and Examination of the Relationship between Visual Mathematics Literacy and Geometry Achievement.” The advisor for this thesis was Tayfun Tutak.

Their Bachelor’s degree is in Elementary Mathematics Education from Dicle University, completed on June 23, 2009, in the Mathematics and Science Education Department within the Faculty of Education.

Administrative Position

He has held various administrative positions over the years, including Deputy Director of the Research and Application Center for Talented Students at İnönü University from 2022. Prior to this, from 2020 to 2021, he served as the Mevlana Exchange Programme Institutional Coordinator at Munzur University’s Çemişgezek Vocational School. He also served as the Erasmus Coordinator, Head of Department, and a member of various commissions and committees, such as the Academic Unit Quality Commission and the Examination Acceptance Commission, at Munzur University’s Çemişgezek Vocational School from 2013 to 2021. Additionally, he held the position of Department Chair for the Department of Accounting and Taxation from 2014 to 2019.
