She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Defense Economics at the Central University of Finance and Economics, where she has been enrolled since September 2021 and is expected to graduate in June 2025. Her major courses include Advanced Microeconomics, Advanced Macroeconomics, and Advanced Econometrics. Prior to this, she completed her Master’s in Regional Economics at the Party School of the Central Committee of the CPC from September 2018 to July 2021, with her graduation thesis focused on the optimal allocation of state-owned assets based on high-quality regional development. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Economics and Trade from Northeastern University, where she studied from October 2014 to June 2018 and wrote her graduation thesis on an empirical study of the impact of northeast China’s opening to the outside world on economic development.

Experience

From November 2021 to May 2023, she participated in a project at the Institute of Defense Economics and Management at the Central University of Finance and Economics (CUFE). As part of this project, she co-authored a paper titled “The role of gold in terrorism: Risk aversion or financing source?” published in Resources Policy in 2024. This research was supported by the “Interdisciplinary of Strategic Economy and Military Integration” of Advanced Disciplines in Beijing Higher Education (Grant No. GJJ2019163-RCPY2021). Earlier, from April to June 2021, she worked as a government affairs intern at Beijing Chaoyang International Technology Innovation Service Co., LTD. There, she was responsible for coordinating with the Comprehensive Department of the Beijing Chaoyang District Development and Reform Commission on the “Urban Economic Brain” exhibition plan. Her role involved communicating design, maintenance, and update plans for the economic information system, database, and data sharing and analysis platform, contributing to the construction of the “urban smart brain” in Chaoyang District.

From November 2019 to September 2020, she served as a research assistant in the Enterprise Planning and Management Department at China Construction Fangcheng Investment & Development Group Co., LTD. She was selected by CCPS and the New Urbanization Research Group of China Construction Group to participate in the benchmarking research of smart cities and enterprises. During this period, she published a paper titled “Non-technical Analysis of ‘Smart City’ Construction — Taking Tianjin Tanggu Bay Project of China Construction Equation as an Example” in Business Culture in 2020. Additionally, from November 2016 to June 2017, she worked as a student assistant at the China Academy of Northeast Revitalization, Northeastern University (NEU). She contributed to a cooperation project between CANR and the China (Hainan) Reform and Development Research Institute, focusing on the evaluation of the comprehensive revitalization of the Northeast old industrial base, and was responsible for data collection and report writing for the 2016 Evaluation Report on the Process of Comprehensive Revitalization of Northeast Old Industrial Base, published by Economic Management Press.

Awards

She has received several honors and awards throughout her academic journey. In June 2021, she was recognized as an Excellent Graduate Student by the Party School of the Central Committee of the CPC. In November 2018, she won the First Prize of the Academic Scholarship for Freshmen at the Party School of the Central Committee of the CPC. Earlier, in December 2016, she was named an Outstanding Individual in Social Practice by Northeastern University. Additionally, in July 2016, she was honored as an excellent trainee of the Overseas Economic Management Scholar Training Camp at Northeastern University.

He earned his Doctor of Philosophy in Cultural Studies and Political Sciences from Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland, in March 2012. Prior to that, he completed a Master of Arts in Translation and Applied Linguistics at An-Najah National University in 2005, achieving a total average of 88.1. He also holds a High Diploma in Methods of English Language Teaching from the same university, completed in 2003 with a total average of 82. In 1997-1998, he undertook a one-year in-service training course at the UNRWA/UNESCO Institute of Education. Additionally, he obtained his Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from An-Najah National University in 1994, with a total average of 81.9. His academic journey began at Howarah Secondary School, where he completed the Tawjihi Scientific Stream in 1986 with a total average of 79.8.

Experience

He has 18 years of experience as an instructor at the university level and 12 years as a teacher at the school level. He served as the Director of the Language Centre at An-Najah National University from August 2014 to August 2016. Prior to that, he was an instructor in the English Language Department and Language Centre at An-Najah National University from February 2006 to August 2014 on a part-time basis. He also taught culture and Palestinian society at Jagiellonian University in Poland for one semester during the 2009-2010 academic year. Additionally, he was a part-time instructor at the Language Centre of Al-Quds Open University from 2006 to 2008. His teaching career began with the UNRWA, where he taught English to school children from the 4th to the 9th grade from September 1996 to 2008.
