He embarked on his formal education journey with a Bachelor’s degree in Science, which he completed at Maharaj Laxmen Sen Memorial College, H.P, Sundernagar, in March 2012. Building upon this foundation, he pursued a Master’s degree in Physics at Himachal Pradesh University, Summer-Hill Shimla, completing it in July 2015.

His academic pursuits continued as he delved deeper into the realm of research and scholarship. In December 2018, he took a significant step forward by joining as a PhD Scholar at Himachal Pradesh University, Summer-Hill Shimla. His doctoral research focuses on Electrocaloric and Energy Storage, particularly exploring lead-free BaTiO3-based ferroelectric ceramics for sustainable energy storage and cooling systems. Additionally, he is engaged in investigating relaxor ferroelectric thin films for their potential applications in energy storage. Through his academic journey, he demonstrates a commitment to advancing knowledge and contributing to sustainable energy solutions.

Reem mohammed – Material science- Best Researcher Award

Mrs. Reem Mohammed  distinguished academic and researcher in the field Material science.  She has been employed as a Lecturer in the Physics Department at the Faculty of Science, Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt, since October 2021. In this role, she has supervised the research activities of three MSc students and one PhD student while also fulfilling teaching responsibilities, as detailed in Appendix 1.

Since 2023, she has served as the Physics and Chemistry Program Coordinator, demonstrating her administrative skills and commitment to academic leadership. Additionally, she underwent training at the 9th JINR Summer Schools in Dubna, Russia, in 2017, enhancing her expertise in the field.

Prior to her current positions, she served as an Assistant Lecturer for undergraduate physics labs and courses at Ain Shams University from March 2016 to May 2021. Before that, she held the position of Academic Assistant, where she contributed to undergraduate physics and nuclear labs and courses from March 2012 to September 2016. Throughout her employment history, she has demonstrated dedication to both teaching and research, fostering the academic development of students while actively contributing to her field’s advancement.

She holds a Ph.D. in Physics from Ain Shams University, Egypt, earned between 2017 and 2021. Her doctoral thesis, titled “Synthesis and Characterization of Hybrid Nanocomposites as Photocatalyst for Wastewater Decontamination,” was the culmination of a joint research project involving the Physics Department at Ain Shams University, STDF, and the National Research Center. During her Ph.D. studies, she undertook specialized courses including Reactor, Computational Electromagnetics, and Radiation Protection.

Prior to her Ph.D., she completed her M.Sc. in Physics at Ain Shams University from 2012 to 2016. Her master’s thesis, “Radiation Copolymerization of micro and nano size Polymers and their Applications in Waste Water Decontamination,” showcased her expertise in the field. During her master’s studies, she delved into advanced topics such as Quantum Mechanics, Electrodynamics, Statistical Physics, and Computational Physics.

Her academic journey began with a Bachelor’s degree in Physics, where she excelled and ranked 1st among students in the Physics Department at Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt, from 2007 to 2011. Her outstanding performance led to her appointment as an academic assistant at the university. She specializes in the synthesis and characterization of various nanomaterials, exploring their potential applications in water treatment, purification, environmental remediation, and energy production. Specifically, her focus lies in synthesizing and characterizing nanocomposites as photocatalysts for wastewater decontamination, as well as preparing and characterizing different types of polymers for water purification purposes. Additionally, she is involved in the measurement and analysis of low-level natural radioactivity in building materials, evaluating its environmental impact. Furthermore, she conducts studies on the defect structure of different materials using positron annihilation techniques. Through her multifaceted research endeavors, she aims to contribute to the development of sustainable solutions for pressing environmental and energy challenges while advancing our understanding of material properties and their applications.
