From September 1, 2007, to September 30, 2008, she worked as a Research Scholar at Bharathiar University, focusing on project work.

She has also been involved in significant research projects, including “Metal Hydrazones as precursors for the synthesis of nanocrystalline metal and mixed metal (spinel) oxides,” funded by DST-WOS(A) with an amount of Rs. 18,18,500 in 2014. Research and development

In 2020, he took the initiative to organize a training course focused on the theme of “Completing the end-of-study project (PFE)” specifically tailored for undergraduate students. This course aimed to provide valuable guidance and support to students navigating the challenges of their final projects, offering insights and strategies to enhance the quality of their end-of-study projects.

As a proactive member of the Club of Young Researchers in Applied Sciences and Environment from 2020 to 2022, he actively contributed to the academic and research community. Being part of this club allowed him to engage with like-minded individuals, fostering a collaborative environment for the exchange of ideas and the pursuit of knowledge in applied sciences and environmental research.

In 2021, he further demonstrated his commitment to academic and environmental causes by taking on the role of organizer for a Scientific Day at the Agadir Faculty of Sciences, University Ibn Zohr, Morocco. The event, themed “Water and Waste preservation and valorization for sustainable development,” served as a platform for disseminating knowledge and promoting awareness regarding critical issues in water and waste management for sustainable development.

In the subsequent year, 2022, he assumed the role of coordinator for another significant Scientific Day. This time, the theme centered around “Alternative crops and water security.” The event, organized jointly by the Club of Young Researchers in Applied Sciences and Environment and the Agricultural Association for Watering and Irrigation in TATA, Morocco, aimed to address the importance of alternative crops in the context of water security. 🎓 With a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering earned from EPFL in Lausanne, Switzerland (Mar. 2015 – Mar. 2019), he delved into the intricacies of load history effects in the fatigue behavior of Glass/Epoxy composites. This research took place at the Composite Construction Laboratory (CCLAB) under the mentorship of Professor Thomas Keller. Prior to his doctoral journey, he pursued a Master’s degree in Materials Science and Metallurgy at the University of Tehran, Iran (Sept. 2011 – Sept. 2013). Here, in the Formability Laboratory, he explored the mechanical properties and creep behavior of Mg-Gd-Y-Zr and Mg-Gd-Y-Zr-Ag alloys. Professor Reza Mahmudi guided him through this research. Dr. Akash Rasal a distinguished academic and researcher in the field of Material Science. He earned his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering with First Class honors from the Nao-Chemistry Laboratory at the National Taiwan University of Science & Technology (NTUST) during the period spanning September 2018 to June 2021. His doctoral research focused on the design and fabrication of environmentally friendly, efficient, and stable Quantum Dot-Sensitized Solar Cells (QDSSCs) through innovative electrolyte engineering approaches. The culmination of his academic journey is reflected in his thesis titled “Design and Fabrication of Green, Efficient, and Stable Quantum Dot-Sensitized Solar Cells Through Electrolyte Engineering.” This work not only underscores his commitment to advancing the field of chemical engineering but also highlights his dedication to sustainable and cutting-edge technologies in the realm of solar energy.

He completed his Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Analytical Chemistry with First Class honors at the Department of Chemistry, Shivaji University Kolhapur (SUK), Maharashtra, India, from July 2013 to March 2015. Current research interests are highly aligned with the most exciting and cutting-edge areas of research in materials
science and engineering, including but not limited to the synthesis of quantum dots (QDs) and two-dimensional
(2D) nanomaterials for advanced energy technologies.

Green and solution-processed QDs: Development of novel, non-toxic, water-based alloyed semiconductor QDs,
such as ZnCuInS, ZnCuInSe, AgCuInSe, and AgCuInSe, with higher quantum yield (QY) and lifetime for energy
conversion and storage applications. In addition, synthesize lead-free perovskite (Cs3Bi2Br9, CsSnI3, etc.) QDs and
carbon-based QDs (graphene, polymer dots, etc.) for energy applications.

Printed and flexible electronics: Development of new printing and solution-based processes for the fabrication of
photovoltaic cells, supercapacitor devices, and Zn-air batteries on flexible substrates, such as polymers and
conducting paper. This could include the development of new inks, printing techniques, and quasi-solid state gel
electrolyte (QSSGE) methods.

Multifarious electrocatalysts: Development of new, high-performance, stable, and multifunctional electrocatalysts
for multidisciplinary applications of photovoltaics, water splitting, Zn-air batteries, supercapacitors, and other

ACADEMIC & INDUSTRIAL EXPERIENCE

During the period spanning from July 2017 to September 2018, he served as a Contributory Teacher in Applied Chemistry at the Department of Applied Chemistry, Shivaji University, Kolhapur, MS, India. His teaching responsibilities included delivering the course titled “Quantum Dots (QDs) for Nanotechnology” to M.Sc. students. In this capacity, he not only imparted theoretical knowledge but also conducted practical sessions, overseeing activities such as spectrophotometric determination of Fe in water samples using the standard addition method.
