Han Zhang is a male PhD and Master Supervisor. He received his B.E. and M.S. degrees in software engineering from Wuhan University in 2007 and 2009, respectively, and his PhD degree in Computer Science from Strategic Support Force Information Engineering University, China, in 2020. He is a national graduate education evaluation and monitoring expert, a visiting scholar at the University of Ulster in the UK, a young backbone teacher at Zhengzhou University, and an excellent guidance teacher for innovation and entrepreneurship at Zhengzhou University.

Experience

Han Zhang’s main research achievements are substantial. In recent years, he has presided over four provincial and ministerial scientific research projects, two department-level scientific research projects, and one university-level scientific research funding plan. As the sub-project leader, he participated in one major science and technology special project in Henan Province, one major public welfare special project in Henan Province, and one major science and technology innovation project in Zhengzhou City. Additionally, as the main member, he contributed to one international cooperation project and three provincial and ministerial science and technology research projects. He has published more than 20 academic papers in well-known academic journals both domestically and internationally, such as Information Processing & Management, Information Sciences, Knowledge-Based Systems, Security and Communication Networks, CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Wireless Communications and Mobile Computing, and the Journal of Computer Research.

Keru Duan – Blockchain Application

Ms. Keru Duan  distinguished academic and researcher in the field  Blockchain application. Keru Duan is a Ph.D. candidate in the research group on Supply Chain and Operations Management at the Birmingham Business School. She obtains a master’s degree in 2020 from the University of Manchester, and also completed her undergraduate studies in the United Kingdom. Prior to her Ph.D. journey, Keru held a two-year tenure as a Senior Business Decision Analyst at Tesla’s Greater China Headquarters. In this role, she was responsible for formulating vehicle production plans and export strategies for the Greater China region, which included setting sales targets and managing logistics operations.

Keru’s current research focuses on the integrated application of blockchain technology, intelligent supply chain management, and closed-loop supply chain management. In the academic year of 2022-23, she actively participated in the pedagogical work of the business school, serving as a seminar tutor for postgraduate level students in the ‘Digital Business Strategy & Data Analysis’ module. This experience has enriched her teaching skills and methodologies.

At present, Keru is dedicated to publishing her research. She is finalizing a systematic literature review that focuses on the application of integrated blockchain technology in supply chain management. Additionally, she took on a leadership role in supervising new interns tasked with assisting local farmers in restructuring their farms. She played a pivotal role in developing profit models for these farms, which included strategies for crop cultivation, livestock breeding, and farm tourism. Her efforts resulted in the successful design of business proposals, leading to securing a significant investment from angel investors.

With the obtained start-up funds, she executed pilot experiments, procured necessary resources such as seeds and agricultural tools, and initiated marketing campaigns.
