Maryamalsadat Mahootiha  a distinguished academic and researcher in the field of Deep learning in medical imaging. She is a dedicated PhD student specializing in survival analysis with a focus on cancer prognosis. Her expertise spans cutting-edge machine learning, deep learning, medical imaging, medical statistics, and data mining. Originally from a computer science background, she seamlessly transitioned into the medical field, augmenting her knowledge with 32 credits from the University of Oslo’s medicine department.

Currently in a year-long visitation at the Artificial Intelligence in Medicine Lab at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, an affiliate of Harvard Medical School, she is actively working towards bridging and transferring knowledge from the United States to Europe. As she enters the third year of her doctoral studies in February 2024, she reflects on her significant contributions to five distinct projects related to survival analysis in cancer, with her latest project being a collaboration with the AIM group in the U.S. 🌟💻🔬
