He has attended several educational institutions over the years, starting with Opebi Grammar School in Opebi Estate, Ikeja, from 1992 to 1997. He completed a course at IMS Computer Training School, Oba-Akran, Ikeja, in 2000 and earned a Certificate in Desktop Publishing (DTP) the same year. In 2001, he completed his studies with the West African Examination Council (Private). He pursued a Diploma in Business Administration at Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ogun State, Nigeria, from 2002 to 2004, followed by a B.Sc. in Economics from the same university from 2005 to 2008, graduating with Second Class Upper honors. He then earned an M.Sc. in Economics (Ph.D.-Proceed Grade) from the University of Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria, between 2012 and 2014. In 2016, he attended the Kenya School of Monetary Studies in Nairobi, Kenya, and participated in the Joint Facility for Electives on the Ph.D. Programme. He completed his Ph.D. in Economics (Collaborative) through a Collaborative Ph.D. Programme (CPP) in Sub-Saharan Africa hosted by the University of Ibadan from 2016 to 2020.
He holds numerous academic qualifications, including a Ph.D. in Economics (Collaborative) from 2020, a Joint Facility for Electives on the Ph.D. Programme from 2016, an M.Sc. in Economics from 2014, a B.Sc. in Economics from 2008, and a Diploma in Business Administration from 2004.
Professionally, he is an Alumnus and Network Member of the African Economic Research Consortium since 2020, a member of the Central Bank Research Association (CEBRA) since 2018, and an Associate Member of the Nigerian Economics Society (NES) since 2011. He became an Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) and a Graduate Member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM) in 2010. Additionally, he earned the Associate Accounting Technician in West Africa (AATWA) qualification in 2007.
Work Experience
He has extensive work experience in academia and research. Currently, he is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Economics at Fountain University, Osogbo, a position he has held since November 2022, where his duties include teaching, research, and community development. Prior to this, he served as Lecturer I in the same department from October 2020 to September 2022, and as Lecturer II from October 2017 to September 2020. He began his tenure at Fountain University as an Assistant Lecturer in March 2014, holding that position until September 2017.
Before joining Fountain University, he was a Research Associate working with Prof. S.A. Tella, Director of the Centre for Continuing Education at Olabisi Onabanjo University, from 2013 to March 2014. He also gained experience as a Junior Research Fellow at the Centre for Applied Economics and Policy Studies (CEAPEPS) in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, from 2010 to 2013. Additionally, he served as a Part-Time Lecturer at the School of Part-Time Studies, Lagos State Polytechnic, Isolo, Lagos, from June 2010 to 2012.
He began his professional career as a Mathematics Teacher during his National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) at Gandi Secondary School in Rabah LGA, Sokoto State, from 2009 to 2010. Earlier in his career, he worked as a Quality Control Assistant at Krimo Products Nigeria Limited from June 1997 to September 1999.
